All Milky


As I understand we understand now,

the universe expands at such a rate
that eventually the light from other galaxies
will not reach ours

And it happens in a way
you've got to bend your mind
to make you think you understand

But if you forget about the how
and take various fellows like Einstein at their word,
pay heed only to the corollaries and implications,

then know that one by one
the fuzzy galaxies shall blink out

and our galaxy will soon be as lonely as I am,
with no light to look at
but our own
